It’s a day when we won’t have water in our Taps. this word came into existence when Kemptown in 2018 faced the water crisis.
Water usage
71% of water is non-drinkable and only 3% can be used for drinking. So if we divide the earth into four jars then ideally the only a spoon of water is usable, India is using 25% of groundwater and only 8% of rainwater is being used. the urban population uses 3 times more water than the villages. here is some projection of water usage.

How to Save water and save life on the earth
Now the whole community has to come forward to save water and save life on the earth. here are some common tips by which we can save water.
- The tab can waste 9 liters of water per minute so while tooth brushing, so close the tap while which could save around 18 liters of water.
- We can save 50% of water by running the washing machines with the full load.
- RO filter wastes 80% of water so if the water TDS (less than 250 PPM) is not bad then we should use the normal water purifier.
- RO drained water can be used for plants.
- if you have an old flush tank then put 2-3 liter of sand in the water bottle that would save 2-3 liter on every flush and try to use the water-saving flush which could save 700 liters of water every year.
- install rainwater harvesting and drip irrigation system.
- Use hosepipe and sprinkler, usually it uses 500 to 100 liters per hour of water.
- Use a bucket for washing the car which could save around 300 Liters of water.
